The CMC 50th anniversary art show made the front page of the paper. But the best part??? You can see a sliver of my photo behind the man in the picture 😂😂😂 take a look below!! And check out the article here.
As they called my name up onto the stage at graduation on Saturday, I climbed up the stairs, turned around and cheered on my fellow graduates before snapping this photo. Their reaction was priceless.
It was an honor and a privelidge to walk with all these fine, brilliant young minds on Saturday. Graduation was a magical experience, and I would not trade that day for anything else! Congrats to everyone in this photo, may all your dreams and aspirations become your reality!!!
my new show didn't end up playing last night, episode #06, unfortunately. Instead, the station played the previous episode, #05. I have uploaded last night's show to the soundcloud page a little early for anyone that wanted to listen. We talk about preparing for graduation, which actually happened this morning, but it is still a damn good show. you can listen the the newest show, or any other past show, by clicking on the link below, or clicking on the Radio link above.
Thanks for listening everyone!!
Soooo tomorrow is the big day!! I will be graduating with my second associate's degree, this time for Graphic Design, and I will be walking during CMC's graduation ceremony!! I am pretty nervous, but at the same time, it isn't really a super big deal to me. Last year I graduated with my Photography degree, and I don't plan to be done as a student just yet. So I'm sure this will not be my last. But it still feels pretty good to celebrate and share the stage with my classmates and all of the other graduates from this amazing school! I can't thank this amazing faculy for all that they have done to help me succeed. It blows me away that so many people will go so far to help students fulfill their dreams. I know that is their job, but it's really hard to find people like that these days, people that will do anything to help those that reach for it. I'm so proud to call this place my home, Colorado Mountain College is the best place ever!!
If anyone is interested in attending, I have 5 invitations available. We're only allowed 5 guests because of the capacity of the event, and you need the invitation to attend, but I have no one else coming, so anyone who wants one is welcome to have it. Just hit me up on here or my cellular tellular if you have those digits. Otherwise, this awesome school will be live streaming the event for anyone that cannot attend. I remember last year there were people from China and Russia and Australia watching their kids graduate, so that is pretty cool! if this is something you are interested in, just click the link below to get connected. The ceremony starts at 11am Mountain time, May 2.
To the next step!!!!! Whatever that may be....lol
Busy day for me..
Not only is my radio show going on tonight, which, unfortunately I will not be able to listen in with you...but I will also be doing lights again for A Flea in Her Ear tonight at Colorado Mountain College, Spring Valley Campus. But also, I am going to be operating a one man video crew DURING the play, capturing various happenings in and around the production. It is going to be very interesting considering I can't leave the sound board too much during the play, but I am going to work with what I have. I will have a bunch of Go Pro cameras set up around the stage, backstage, and green rooms to try to capture what I can. And in between acts I will be moving them around and resetting them and checking batteries as needed. I'm not sure how I am going to pull it off, but it will be interesting to say the least!
I have 4 Go Pro cameras, three of which I will, hopefully, be able to control from the sound booth via the Go Pro app. I tried this last night, and it looked awesome! Then I will have to DSLR's set up at various places doing time-lapses and video as well. So I guess we will see what happens!
I am trying to create a video for a final project in one of my publishing classes. It will just be documenting my experience working with the theater and how I have enjoyed it. I don't really have a plan as to how it will look, I'm just trying to gather the footage, but I am excited to see what comes of it. Wish me luck!!
Oh, and don't forget to check out the play for yourself! For tonight and tomorrow it will start at 7pm, and Sunday will be a 2pm matinee show, and that will be it. So come out and check out this amazing production!!!
