Also, today marks my 500th day since I spoke fluent Ozzy Osbourne. Haven't had a drink since 👌 never thought I'd make it this far. I just planned to take some time to clear my head. After a couple months I realized I didn't need it or want it anymore. I like being in control of my body and mind. My head is much clearer. I've lost a significant amount of weight, saved a shitload of money, and I feel like a whole new person. I still have my struggles, just like everyone else, but it makes it much easier not having alcohol cloud my judgment or slow me down. You may have noticed that I was absent for some time from social media, and even my own website. During that time I was just trying to figure my shit out and clear my head. It wasn't easy at all, but I feel so much better now. Life is so much better, and I have enough demons as it is without alcohol adding to it. I like this new life, even though it's still tough. Cheers to sobriety!!!
WOW...what can I say?? This has been an incredible month so far!!! Best birthday ever!!! I don't even know where to begin, and I'm not sure that it's even over....Read More
So it has been a wild ride for me in these last few months, specifically the last one. I have been so incredibly busy with shows, and festivals and traveling, and on top of that, school starting back up again and getting back into my regular job at CMC. Three major events that are usually spaced out about a month apart were rescheduled to all be in the same month. I went to Farmageddon Fest in Wisconsin, a couple weeks later, Riot Fest in Denver, and only one week later was Muddy Roots in Tennessee. School started back up the week before Riot Fest, so it has been a hell of a time trying to get back into work/school mode while still in the midst of Festival Season. I had to take a week off to go to TN, and because of that I am a week behind in my classes, so I need to catch up with my school work as well. Not a good way to start the semester...
Don't get me wrong, this has been an AMAZING summer of music, so many crazy adventures, but I am having a very difficult time keeping up with projects, sleep, functionality, school, etc. etc. I am desperately trying to get back into some sort of normality and structure, but that is never a constant in my life. The second I get comfortable in any setting, all of a sudden things change and I get all shuffled again. But that is my crazy life, and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world!!
I guess what I am trying to get at, is life has been a roller coaster lately, much much more than usual, so it is going to take me a bit of time to get caught up with some of these projects. I want to share my work and experiences from Farmageddon, Riot Fest, and Muddy Roots, as well as some other events that happened this summer. I also want to get my radio show going again since I've been too busy to keep up with that, and I want to use these experiences to share through my show. And I don't want to half-ass anything, so I will be working on these as time allows. So be on the look out for these future posts, and hopefully it won't take too long to get "caught up," whatever that means......
Soooo tomorrow is the big day!! I will be graduating with my second associate's degree, this time for Graphic Design, and I will be walking during CMC's graduation ceremony!! I am pretty nervous, but at the same time, it isn't really a super big deal to me. Last year I graduated with my Photography degree, and I don't plan to be done as a student just yet. So I'm sure this will not be my last. But it still feels pretty good to celebrate and share the stage with my classmates and all of the other graduates from this amazing school! I can't thank this amazing faculy for all that they have done to help me succeed. It blows me away that so many people will go so far to help students fulfill their dreams. I know that is their job, but it's really hard to find people like that these days, people that will do anything to help those that reach for it. I'm so proud to call this place my home, Colorado Mountain College is the best place ever!!
If anyone is interested in attending, I have 5 invitations available. We're only allowed 5 guests because of the capacity of the event, and you need the invitation to attend, but I have no one else coming, so anyone who wants one is welcome to have it. Just hit me up on here or my cellular tellular if you have those digits. Otherwise, this awesome school will be live streaming the event for anyone that cannot attend. I remember last year there were people from China and Russia and Australia watching their kids graduate, so that is pretty cool! if this is something you are interested in, just click the link below to get connected. The ceremony starts at 11am Mountain time, May 2.
To the next step!!!!! Whatever that may be....lol
